About
My name is Matt Ames, and I blog.
Born in the same hospital as Hulk Hogan during the same year as the first WrestleMania, it only makes sense I became a wrestling fan the first time I watched it when I was five or six. That is just an example of the way my life has come together throughout the years.
I graduated from Augusta State University in the Spring of 2008 with a degree in Communication Studies and a minor in Sociology. Since 2003, I have worked in the radio industry, and had a weekly talk segment on a “voluntary” basis for a couple of years before that. One thing I would like to do with my degree and experiences is use them in church communication in some way.
I go to TrueNorth Church in North Augusta, SC and absolutely love it. After a couple of years of not going to church on a regular basis, I made some life decisions that led me wanting to search for a place to go again in 2005. About a year later, I joined TrueNorth upon feeling like it was my family. It has been a great journey ever since, and I am enjoying being used by God there.
Some of my hobbies and interests are writing, speaking, photography, traveling, online communication, radio, music, movies and TV. I am not against reading, but it is rare that I finish a book (just being honest there).
I hope you enjoy what I share here. In addition to the random stuff that pops out of my head, it is my aim for this blog to bring forth inspiration, thought and further action.
