I’ve been pretty exhausted this week so far. Not sure what to do about that. Sleep only seems to somehwat cover it.

Being on overnights puts me at a rare advantage. I’m awake at all of the times you are getting up to start your day for the most part. I’d like to tell you I’ve been on my knees, spending massive amounts of time praying for your day all night… but that didn’t happen. I do work, you know? ;)
I do hope that as you start your day, or even if you have already started, that you allow God to be the Lord of it, and to guide your every step. Allow Him to use you in the lives of others today, and have a great one!

Worship with Me…
Hey guys,
It’s lee. I have an idea. How about I make a few videos every now and then. They’re not going to be really big and produced. It’s pretty raw, but basically I just want to spend some time in worship with the bloggers. God’s big enough to fill all of cyberspace with His glory. So put on some headphones or get alone and let’s seek God together!
Here’s some scriptures to think about as we’re worshiping…
Psalm 16:11 – “You have made known to me the path of life; you will fill me with joy in your presence, with eternal pleasures at your right hand.
Ephesians 3:18-20 – “May have power, together with all the saints, to grasp how wide and long and high and deep is the love of Christ, and to know this love that surpasses knowledge—that you may be filled to the measure of all the fullness of God. Now to him who is able to do immeasurably more than all we ask or imagine, according to his power that is at work within us.”
Acts 2:28 – “You have made known to me the paths of life; you will fill me with joy in your presence.”

Has the Holy Spirit ever convicted you of something He hasn’t seemed to convict others of yet?
Does this make you feel like you’re “holier than thou” and maybe need to cool it for awhile?
Don’t slow down.
Your example–not your judgment, condemnation or snobby attitude–may be exactly what others need to see.
Most of all, remember, you are not drawing closer to Christ for their benefit. Your walk is your walk.
Again, don’t slow down.
“Am I now trying to win the approval of men, or of God? Or am I trying to please men? If I were still trying to please men, I would not be a servant of Christ.” (Galatians 1:10 NIV)

Whether it be the slump the economy is in, the need for more money in other parts of your budget or a cutback for some other reason, what “trivial” thing(s) (e.g. cable, movie channels, an Internet connection faster than any website can update, one of the higher-priced coffe-based drinks in the morning, etc.) have you given up, and how has life been since?
Note: I’m asking this, in part, because I need some inspiration, and also to offer those of you who have taken a step some encouragement.

I love me some ministry. Seriously, I can see myself working for a church in a communications and/or leadership position one day. These passions were ignited in college with my involvement with Baptist Collegiate Ministries, and even though I’m not as actively engaged in these things, they haven’t gone anywhere 10 months later.
There’s something about using my talents, skills, abilities and most of all, gifts to spread the news of Jesus Christ that lights me up inside. However, with so many of my strengths lying in ministry, there lies weaknesses as well.
It’s easy for me to get wrapped up in what I’m doing; so much so that the purpose gets lost in translation sometimes. I strive for excellence in everything from events to email blasts, and can easily make those things my god if I’m not careful.
My primary focus should not be on ministry, but rather on ministering. After all, isn’t that why a ministry exists? I feel incredibly blessed being able to serve God through communication, but that has to stop somewhere and turn into serving Him through serving others. So much of what I do is to reach people, but what matters even more is what I do when I make contact.

Joseph Christie has been a part of the music scene in the Augusta, GA area for many years. He’s led bands such as Fallacy and Redefined, and decided after awhile to use his own name for his group, Joseph Christie Band.
Last May, Joseph Christie Band released their first CD at a concert headlined by Fee. The band tours churches, conferences, retreats, festivals and plays in other venues to lead people in worshiping God. They also attend and lead services regularly for TrueNorth Church.

Where are you at in life right now? Is there some part of you stuck in a rut you’re wondering when you will get out of? Do you find yourself wishing there was more to what you were doing? That your life had more direction? That you are not reaching your full potential, but rather feel like God has you on hold or is out of earshot of your cries? Would you like for there to be a light shining on your future?
Then, you’re in the perfect place for a dream to be planted if it hasn’t been already.
Reflecting on what my pastor said Sunday–that we dream in the dark parts of our lives–I think about what that means about our times of stillness or uncertainty. We may find ourselves not going as far as we would like, but the outcome can be a vision for the future greater than we’ve ever had. Even in the most disheartening of times, we can set our sights on tomorrow and what it will hold.
When I think about dreaming, I think of the man in the 60s who had a dream that has continued to resonate among us. That man was Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. His dream was for an equal America. One where we are judged on character and not skin color. His dream has persevered towards fruition long after his time here. A dream, mind you, that happened in one of the darkest hours of racism ever seen.
Optimism can be viewed as a happy-go-lucky and artificial attitude full of warm and fuzzies. I challenge you to look at optimism as something synonymous with hope, and hope as a result faith, and faith as a result of a greater vision instilled in us by an Almighty God.
We may not always see the path ahead of us that leads us to our dreams, but that need not cease us from looking ahead. In the same way, may we not be stifled by our present circumstances to the point of accepting less when we feel we are capable of so much more; even if we don’t know what it is.
If you find yourself waiting, it’s time to dream. If you have a dream, it’s time to walk by faith. The road before you may not be seen for the fog that hides it, but the same God who made the residue that veils your way is there to guide you through it. Dream.
