Where are you right now?
Are you in the midst of a stressful day? Are you at a job where your full potential isn’t being reached? Are you sitting in the campus library trying to come up with the words to the paper that is due in hours… minutes? Did something recently happen to you that you don’t want to think about? Are you in between churches? Have you lost hope in religion? Does no one seem to “get” you? Do you seem to “get” no one? Is that so-called “greeting card company holiday” coming up this weekend just reminding you how bad off you’ve got it?
Are you having the best day ever? Is everything working out for you as planned? Did that promotion come through? Are you enjoying that really good church you found? Can you not wait to spend time with someone special during that wonderful holiday full of future memories for you? Did you actually finish that paper on time? Do you think things can’t possibly get any better?
I don’t know where you are right now, but God does. He has plans for you beyond your wildest dreams and happiness for you that well opposes any anxiety or depression. Wherever you are right now, won’t you meet with Him? In your tough moments and your best of times, please let God reign in your life. Let Him have the glory in all of our situations. He is always our hope.
